Each character in the Tamagotchi 4U / 4U+ can learn 3 basic skills and 5 special skills.
Basic skills
Your character learns these at home, while in teen stage (remember the Tamagotchi 4U / 4U+ has no toddler stage, so it only evolves baby -> teen -> adult).
There are 3 basic skills your character can learn:
* using the toilet,
* bathing,
* vacuuming.
How to teach your character the basic skills?
1. Using the toilet
From time to time a thought bubble with a toilet symbol in it will appear above your character. When it does, select the bathroom icon, and then the first option. Your character will use the toilet. After it does, praise it by selecting the clover icon, and then the first option.
Note: you need to do this 3 times so that your character learns this skill. Once it does, it will not poop on the floor.
2. Bathing
Every day, at 7 pm your character will ask to get a bath. Once it does, select the bathroom icon, then the second option. Your character will take a bath. After it does, praise it by selecting the clover icon, and then the first option.
Note: you need to do this 2 times so that your character learns this skill. Once it does, it won't get dirty.
3. Vacuuming
Every day, at 6 pm your character will play with blocks, and then leave them on the floor. A thought bubble with a block in it will appear above it. When it does, select the bathroom icon, and then third option. Your character will clean the room. Once it does, praise it by selecting the clover icon, and then the first option.
Note: you need to do this 2 times so that your character learns this skill. Once it does, the room will not get untidy.

Once your character is an adult, it can go to school and learn special skills.
There are 5 categories:
* science,
* fashion,
* sports,
* art,
* cooking.
How to teach your character a special skill?
You need to send your character to school - door icon, 3rd option.
There you can choose between 5 types of classes:

To attend certain classes your character needs certain items; all can be bought at TamaDepa.
Science
Fashion
Sports
Art
Cooking
Additionally, all of the above require the notebook.
Every time your character will be first greeted by the headmaster.
Then you choose the class you want your character to attend.
During the first lesson, the teacher will tell your character about the items needed to attempt their classes.
During one-three next lessons there will be theory - that is why your character needs the notebook.
After that normal lessons start.

Note: the school closes at 7 pm every day. If you send your character to school after that time, a mummy standing in front of the school will send your character back home.
