HEART RATE LOSS RATIO
When you first hatch your Ocean / Umino, the hunger and happy hearts will empty at different rates. Fill all hearts at hatch (4 meals + 4 snacks to do it quickly), and then check the stats menu at least every two minutes. You should see (ideally) all 4 hungry hearts empty before, or at the same time as the first happy heart empties.
STATS
HRL* and chance of getting to adult (assuming no successful bear attacks, and all illnesses immediately healed):
* Heart Rate Loss ratio (1st number - hungry hearts, 2nd number - happy hearts)
No time changing. Minimum snacks past baby stage.
GROWTH STAGES
Baby Stage (Planktontchi):- HRL ratio should be 3:1, or greater (4:1 is better); otherwise reset
- no more than two shots to heal when sick; otherwise reset
- when you set the time for hatching, set it at X:51 (X - actual hour) to reduce the amount of time before teen evolution
Toddler Stage (Kuragetchi):- it takes 49 hours (starting from the top of the coming hour) to evolve into a teen
- to get the bad care teen (Kingyotchi), ignore two discipline calls
Teen Stage:
Otototchi (good care teen) takes 47 hours to evolve into an adult
Kingyotchi (bad care teen) takes 30 hours to evolve into an adult (or 16 awake hours)
Note: 4 illnesses at any stage with more than 6 hours left before evolution mean death.
Adults:
Keropyontchi -> perfect care all the way
Taiyakitchi -> slightly imperfect care of good teen, or perfect care of bad teen
Ashigyotchi -> bad teen + completely dirty water ~10 minutes before evolution
Kujiratchi -> bad teen + feed snacks until weight is 99 ~10 minutes before evolution
Kaitchi -> bad teen + ignore as many discipline calls as possible + figure out when evolution will occur and make it so that 1 or less hearts are full at evolution
NINGYOTCHI - Special Character- It takes 49 hours + 12 minutes for Kaitchi (clam) to evolve into Ningyotchi (mermaid)
- Path to Ningyotchi: Planktontchi -> Kuragetchi -> Kingyotchi -> Kaitchi -> Ningyotchi
- Once you have Kaitchi, take perfect care. Keep weight between 10-12, hearts full, no successful attacks, all discipline calls answered, etc.
